AT 82 - 16th June (1057)

 Scouts and Amy’s house

Left early to get to road where I was meeting Scout. We arranged a reunion party with Scout and Lori, my first trail family. I heard rain was coming at 10:30 so walked really quick to avoid it but it arrived at 8:30 so got soaked to the skin!!! RPM. Scout arrived and we went for lunch and to his and Amy’s lovely home. They have a pool which was lovely compared to rivers!!! Amazing dinner and drinks and total relax. Real bed for the night. Great to see them again.

Thought for the day

DV

Deo volente

There was a lovely lady in church that always said DV if arranging anything. As a youngster it sounded funny but as I’m now older it makes perfect sense.

DV - God willing.

It reminds me of the parable of the Rich Fool.

Luke 12:16-21

[16] And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully, [17] and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ [18] And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. [19] And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’ [20] But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ [21] So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”

If we live our lives without the concept DV then we think we are in charge. I’m so glad I can trust my father God to know what is best for me. I may not say DV when arranging stuff but I certainly pray and ask for guidance in all decisions of life.
