AT 88 - 22nd June (1149.5)

It rained overnight and continued this morning. Packed up a wet tent and headed into Duncannon. It’s the first day that I didn’t enjoy the hike. I just wanted to be in town with a beer and fat juicy greasy burger and to be dry. Went to laundrette and washed and dried everything. I had one pair of boxers to wear. Got to Doyle’s (an AT institution). Guinness and a burger made me feel better. Got room and shower and had a siesta. Resupply done for next 3 days. Had dinner and crashed.

Very basic room but it better than a wet tent.
