AT 106 - 12th July [733]



Ten mile campsite. 


Made it to Connecticut!!! Another state done. Great walking today. One bridge out so had to rock hop and cross a fallen tree to get across dry. Came to a garden centre that is hiker friendly and has a shower!!!! Nice to refresh. Then we had lunch at a Malaysian roadside truck stop. It was delicious. Has a swim in the Housatonic river, well to be exact it was a side river because the main river is wild!!!

I could have swam in nuclear lake earlier in the day but decided not too. Yes there was a lab on the shore working on weapon grade nuclear material that exploded and send materials into the lake and surrounding forest. It was deemed safe but maybe not to swim!!!
