AT 111 - 17th July [657.8]

South Mount Wilcox Shelter.

I had a very lazy morning in my posh Wainwright Inn. Had breakfast at 9 and then the owner dropped me to the AT at 10:30. The ground was very wet on the trail from previous rain storms. Only 11.6 miles because of the late start. We have a family duck (Duckington) that we hide in each other luggage so he moves from country to country. It’s a surprise when you unpack to find him as a stowaway. Well, when I unpacked my rucksack there he was. He had an interest day on the AT today. The photos below will tell the story.

More images when I get better signal.
