AT 113 - 19th July [621.5]

Kathy and Scott’s house (cousins of Noemi)

Amazing to have family on the trail. I was able to ship new shoes here, my old ones had 1cm holing them together.

I walked to Dalton and Kathy kindly collected me. Long days walk but a real bed and shower is worth it. I feel so at home and welcomed as family. Lovely meal together and relaxing chat.

Thought for the day

Family.

Family is amazing. We can relax with family. Family make you feel at home. Linda was orphaned an an early age and  always felt it. The older generation used to call them the orphans which was a stigma to Linda. Her uncle and aunt did a great job bring them up but it’s not the same as family.

In one sense we are all orphans until we are adopted into the best family ever.

We are children of God through Jesus.

What a family we belong to.!!!

Romans 8:14-17

[14] For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. [15] For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” [16] The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, [17] and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.

  1. Losing both Mum and Dad at an early age was a game-changer for our family. Broken, divided, separation and grief were our new identity’s.. orphaned… a gut punch, a stigma, a label. While we are all grateful for the family members who stepped in and stepped up to raise us, all while dealing with their own grief, we were forever changed. Knowing Mum, Dad and Linda all had a personal relationship with Christ reassures me they are all reunited in Heaven, and one day I too will be home with them. What was broken and lost here on Earth will one day be fully restored with an eternity of wholeness and togetherness to look forward to. Our God is a good Father❤️ #familyforever V
