AT 162 - 6th September [59.7]

Just updated previous days photos.

Cooperbrook Falls lean to

What a day. Headed down the last bit of the mountain and then up a hill. At the bottom of the hill there was Rob and Donnie with trail magic. What a lunch, steak on the trail tastes so good!!! Rob wanted to surprise me since he’s been following my blog. He sure did!!! What a man. The trail has flattened out now and is lovely to walk on and look around. Passed a few ponds but no moose yet. Got to shelter early and had a cooling swim in the pool at the bottom of the falls. Really deep and fast flowing but warmer than the pool last night.

Thought for the day.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

I always think this is a hard verse but so true. When we go off track the bible shows our error and we turn back in repentance. It’s the sharpness and piercing that does sometimes hurt!!!

But also the bible is a comfort and encouragement. In the same vane people can be the same. Some are harsh but in a nice and correcting way. If they are harsh for no reason then they need Hebrews 4:22!!! These type of people think that they wield the sharp two edged sword but it is the Holy Spirit that is the one that does the wielding and not us. Also some are encouraging and comforting. Rob was so encouraging today and my heart sang as I left him to head down the trail.
