AT 67 - 1st June (809.1)

Set off early to get to Lexington. Passed the 800 miles mark. Got a hitch from road crossing to town. A nice guy who works in the university. He dropped me to outfitters. New shoes didn’t arrive yet. Now I don’t know what to do. Booked into a posh hotel and rested a while. The whole of Lexington is a bit upmarket. The owner is lovely and he washed ALL my clothes. I just had one nickers left to wear. Once clothes came back I went to Kroger to resupply. Ate in a posh restaurant, maybe a bad mistake. Portions were delicious but small. Should have gone to McDonald’s!!!! Drank a bottle of wine with owner who daughter is nearly six. Had to play games and explore the garden with her. It was nice to have a substitute grand daughter. Bed early and I’ll decide what to do tomorrow.
