AT 72 - 6th June (876.5)

 Camping alone near Turk Gap

Cold night. Had to get extra cloths at 3am. Left early and headed for Shenandoah National Park. Filled out my overnight permit at entrance (no cost). Got to shelter at lunchtime so had my siesta and headed on. Decided to stop as close to 4:30 as possible. This will leave me a 16 mile walk tomorrow to a resupply shop. Must get there before 5pm closing time!! I’ll leave early. As I was setting up tent and dinner two deer walked into my camp area. They just sniffed around and weren’t bothered by me. Every day you see something different.
