Zealand Falls Hut

I’m so glad I ignored the weather advice from yesterday and got to Galehead Hut. I headed out this morning in worse condition than yesterday. Rain and howling wind. Most was ok because I was in trees but for a brief time at top of Twin Peaks it was very exposed. Most was down hill and added to the knee’s crying. Went on a side trail to the top of Zealand mountain , what a disappointment, it was just a few rocks surrounded by trees, no views, no nothing. 

Thought for the day. 

Don’t fix, be a channel. 

I shared why my trail name was BittterSweet with a hiker last night. We talked and he shared his story. We just talked and we had similar but different tragedy in our lives. It’s easy to try and “talk to fix” others but actually there is only one healer of such deep pain. We shared deeply because we were both Christians. You never have to say the right things because it’s the Holy Spirit that knows what helps. As we talked we were both encouraged by the other and this random meeting turned out to be a God moment. We just need to be available and flexible in The Healers Hands.
