AT 135 - 10th August [339.2]

Mizpah Spring Hut

Long day but easy enough. Started on an old logging railway cutaway. Called into the Ethan Pong Shelter and the pond was beautiful, too early in the day to swim but nice to see. Mostly level then down to road. But then it was a long hard up but it was such a nice day it was easy enough. Some cliff type climbs but once you trust your shoes it works. Got to hut early enough and got a bed and had a little lie down before dinner. The huts give you a great dinner and breakfast. Hut wasn’t full so bunk room wasn’t packed. I’m above High Route and he says I snore, so I tied a cord to my big toe and he can pull it so I turn over. He never did pull the cord so either he was tired and didn’t hear me or I didn’t snore.

There it is in the distance
