AT 166 - 10th September [5.3] (K Day -1)

 


Katahdin Stream Campsite - lean to. 


Got up early even though breakfast was not till 7:30. Got great photos of Katahdin. The day looked really good to summit but we doing tomorrow. Cooked breakfast includes in campsite was good. Headed to the ranger station to get free AT access to Baxter Park. 10 mile hike was easy. It started to rain so the day deteriorated. The people coming down were soaked. Waited for Matt who is joining me to camp and summit. He brought real dinner which was wonderful. We met Rainman who invited us to join him in a shelter since we had tent site. Really nice evening together. I wonder if I’ll sleep tonight.
