Abol Bridge Camp site.
Got up at 5:15. Still dark, autumn is closing in. Packed up wet tent because it rained last night. Nice easy walk to Abol bridge. Got real food, well sandwich and beer since restaurant is closed due to no staff. Got last washing done and shower after 7 days in the HMW. We can see K from campsite but there is low cloud so no top.
I’m beginning to think about the end. What will I do when I don’t have to walk another 15 miles. Bea is going to be a great distraction from the AT. But what about when I get home. Back to work Monday. I hope I remember how to work. What next, will I be able to settle. Well I’m putting all that on hold and just thinking about the next two day.
Good Job, I wish I was finishing with you. I'm back on the trail and will get off at Daleville,VA.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every moment with Bea (& matt & mandy) Looking forward to catching up soon. Eimear x
ReplyDeleteIncredible achievement Steve. I’m sure return home will take some adjustment, but you will have so many memories and great photos to remind you. We' re away most of September but will get you round for a meal when we're back. Love C&H
ReplyDeleteStick with the here and now ,and trust the rest to the good Lord himself ,he won't let you down.
ReplyDeleteYou have had to adjust many times in your life and you did so just fine, and you will again.
Maybe he has different plans for you do just be open ...
I will pray this last leg will be happy times and fun and laugh at the silly things he puts in your path it's ok to laugh again 🙏 Jac
