Fingerboard Shelter
Another cooker of a day. Had intended to go further but the heat just saps you. Lots of steep climbs and descents. Had swim #22 in a lake, so refreshing. But 30 mins later it’s as if you hadn’t. Also went through the lemon squeezer, narrow crack in rock and also sheer cliff face. I got through/over both obstacles but looking back the cliff was so dangerous!!!!
Just completed 4 million steps and 47,993 floors.
Thought for the day.
Stairway to heaven.
When you think of it Led Zeppelin comes to mind. For me it was yesterdays climb.
In Genesis 28 we read of Jacob having a dream of a stairway to heaven with angels ascending and descending and the Lord standing above it. That would make you sit up, and it did for him. The Lord promises a blessed future for him.
I was thinking that Jacob was the outcast and he had stolen his brother’s birthright and blessing. He wasn’t the tough and outdoor guy but more like a mothers boy. Maybe at school he would be the nerd certainly not in the football team. But he’s the one God blessed and made into a great nation. It doesn’t matter what type of person we are, nerd or sporty, God can use us to show his love to others. Don’t think someone else would be better, God has a plan for you.
