AT 80 - 14th June (1032.4)

 Ed Garvey Shelter


Lovely night in cabin (for free). Woke early and had breakfast. Met caretaker and chatted about AT. Left at 7:15. Got to Harpers Ferry at lunch time. Went to ATC (AT conservancy), got photo for yearbook and my half way number, 689 NOBO. My starting number was 1747, so a lot haven’t made it. Also some people don’t register at beginning. 


Swim #17 in the Shandoah and Potomac river merge. 


Had dinner and hiked 6.5 miles to first shelter in Maryland. Yes another state ticked off.

    Lovely photos ! Congratulations on getting half way,amazing achievement.Im not surprised that many don't get that far well done.
    Your definitely looking thinner but you look good and seem in good form x enjoy
