Only walked 7 miles and the heavens opened. I have never seen rain and thunder and lightning like it. We are sheltering in a pavilion and will probably put up tent if no one throws us out. That wouldn’t be very Christian of the Franciscans would it.
I’m so glad we found shelter. I’d say there are some seriously drowned rats hikers on the trail. Tomorrow is threading to be the same. We’ll decide what to do tomorrow.
